Interested In Becoming A Dealer For MAC's?

Please read through the following information.


PRICING LEVELS

MAC's Antique Auto Parts, Inc. offers three levels of pricing:

Level 1

Retail through MAC's Antique Auto Parts, Inc. This is the current price in our computer system.
(Note: The printed catalog and online catalog prices are subject to change without notice.)

Level 2

10% courtesy discount off the Retail price (see above) as listed or presented by MAC's Antique Auto Parts, Inc.

This discount is available to any rebuilder, shop, etc., that can fax or mail us three documents to the attention of Jon Laverty:

1) A letter on company stationery expressing your interest in obtaining the "10% Courtesy Discount" on all future orders.
2) A legible copy of your Federal or State license or resale certificate. We will not offer a discount to any customer or company that does not have a legitimate business license or certificate.
3) A copy of some form of advertising. Could be the yellow pages or Hemmings or something that shows you are a valid company in the eyes of the public consumer.

If you cannot generate these three documents please do not ask for a discount.

It can take us 24-72 hours to get the information in our system.
Also, you should always mention to the order takers or when faxing in an order something like "I am a 10% Discount Customer."

If approved for our Level 2 discount, please do not order until you receive confirmation by fax, email or post that your Level 2 discount has been established. We are not responsible for orders placed prior to discount approval and will not issue credit for orders placed or invoiced prior to confirmation approval date.

Level 3

This is MAC's dealer program. To become a dealer there are forms and applications that must be filled out.
(See below for how to mail or fax a request for the 12 page information packet, or sign up online).
It takes on average 3-4 weeks to get through all the hoops and become approved.

NOTE: YOU MUST BE A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS (POSSESS FEDERAL OR STATE RESALE OR BUSINESS LICENSES) TO BECOME A DEALER. WE DO CHECK REFERENCES OF SUPPLIERS AND BANKS.

DEALER PROGRAMS

MAC's Antique Auto Parts offers three Dealer Programs which are listed below:

"E" Dealers = "E" as in "Early."

An "E" dealer has access to only 1909-48 Parts. There are more than 15,000 items in this grouping which includes:

  • 1909 - 1927 Ford Model T
  • 1928 - 1931 Ford Model A
  • 1932 - 1948 Ford / Mercury Early V8

Requirements are a $1500.00 initial order for parts (must be an actual order not a deposit to work against) and $1500.00 annual purchase requirements of parts that are in stock and shipped.

"L" Dealers = "L" as in "Late."

An "L" dealer has access to only 1949-70's Parts. There are more than 25,000 items in this grouping which includes:

  • 1949 - 1959 Full Size Ford / Mercury Passenger Cars and 1958 - 1960 Edsel
  • 1960 - 1972 Full Size Ford / Mercury Passenger Cars
  • 1948 - 1979 Ford Pickup / 1961 - 1967 Ford Econoline / 1966 - 1979 Ford Bronco
  • 1955 - 1966 Ford Thunderbird
  • 1964-1/2 - 1973 Ford Mustang
  • 1960 - 1970 Ford Falcon / Mercury Comet
  • 1962 - 1971 Ford Fairlane / Torino

Requirements are a $1500.00 initial order for parts (must be an actual order not a deposit to work against) and $1500.00 annual purchase requirements of parts that are in stock and shipped.

"B" Dealers = "B" as in "Both."

"B" dealer has access to all the above (1909-70's... more than 45,000 different items)

Requirements are a $3000.00 initial order for parts (must be an actual order not a deposit to work against) and $3000.00 annual purchase requirements of parts that are in stock and shipped.

Paying by check authorizes MAC's Antique Auto Parts to send the information from your check electronically to your bank for payment. Your account will be debited in the amount of your check and the transaction will appear on your bank statement. You will not receive your cancelled check back. If we cannot post the transaction electronically, you authorize us to present a copy of your check for payment.

Dealer Information Package

We recommend that you obtain our 12 page information and application packet which is available by mailing or faxing a request for dealer information on your company stationery (if available).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do you allow dealers to copy or use your MAC's Antique Auto Parts catalogs?
A: No, we do not. We do not allow any of the illustration or text in whole or in part to be copied. We have spent more than 20 years developing our retail catalogs and they are copyrighted.

Q: What type of profit margins are there or can I expect?
A: We do not have a set percentage off like a jobber or warehouse distributor. All parts are individually priced and many have quantity price breaks. Margins range from nothing (same as retail) to 50% on items that we manufacture. After you receive and review the 12 page packet you can always fax Jon 5-10 items and he will advise you the retail, wholesale pricing and availability of those items.

Q: Do you provide a recommended buy list?
A: We have not created such a "hot seller" list or a "most common" list. Since we offer such a wide variety it really depends on what you are trying to specialize in.

Q: Do you provide geographical exclusivity?
A: We do not offer exclusive geographical distribution. We try not to drop a new dealer within 50 miles of an existing dealer and reserve the right to refuse a dealership based upon such.

We also like to point out that MAC's can be one of your suppliers but will always be one of your competitors. What we mean by that is just as John Q. Customer lives one mile down the road from you and you are trying to get him as a customer ... we are too. MAC's advertises in all the major Antique and Classic car periodicals and hope to reach the same customers that you are.

Q: Do you offer computer programs for inventory or pricing on disc?
A: We are now offering a way to download pricing update spreadsheets on a limited basis. Please email us if you would like more information about this.
